A quick hike to Finger Hill in Peng Chau, HK.

Peng Chau is one of HK islands and besides living here for about 8.5 years, I never made it there. I even did not make it there when I used to live in Discovery Bay, which was literally a stone’s throw away.

Feeling starved of outdoors, I woke up early today and made it to Peng Chau. Weather wasn’t that good due to haze all over and low visibility but at least it was sunny. The trip was nice which included a quick hike to island’s Finger Hill.

Couldn’t do the usual island-style seafood lunch there as I didn’t like any restaurant with proper sea view.

Pictures of the trip are posted at my photo gallery. Enjoy.

Facebook founder is world’s youngest billionaire

Mark_Zuckerberg Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg, is world’s youngest billionaire at age23 according to Forbes list of 2008 billionaires. Mark also thinks that he is the youngest self-made billionaire in human history!

Forbes calculated his net worth at 1.5 billion dollars based on current valuation of 5 billion for Facebook and his 30% stake in the company.

Right. We accept it. But is the money real? How long the valuation of Facebook is going to be that high? Or will it go even higher? We long to know and sadly we can’t. Only time will tell.

In the meanwhile we can sit here and feel jealous. Or repent on what we did when were in early twenties living on university campus ;)

Musharraf looking for PML-Q

With apologies to those who don’t read Urdu, wanted to share the following. This is basically a satirical advertisement by Pakistani president Musharraf to find where PML-Q (ex-ruling party and his allies) have gone?

Well they have all lost their parliament seats!

Australia says sorry to aborigines

Great great gesture from Kevin Rudd. I hope other nations/groups in the world get the courage to say sorry when they need to. This is only how a peaceful and better world can be created.

Happy Chinese New Year of Rat!

This is my 2nd Chinese New Year in last 8 years since I moved to Hong Kong that I actually didn’t get out of this great city, so I managed to get around and take some pictures today. There was a special fireworks show organized by Hong Kong government at the harbor to celebrate this event which I watched from Convention Center in Wanchai.

It was quite an experience (it has to be, it is most expensive fireworks show in the world!). The pictures of the show are posted at my photo gallery. Direct link to pictures is here.
